So I assume most of us in this forum have already got to know each other. Am I right? (I'm looking at Tonylightfoot, Ghost the wolf, K3TA, and others) ahh good times...

Anyways... I want to learn a little more about all of you people on this forum and in this community. So if you feel like sharing a bit of information about yourself such as how you became a furry, how you came to realization about your new profound self, and how you found yourself in this community. These are just a few examples of course, you are free to share anything you want, but lets try to keep it from getting to dark, you are welcome to pour your soul into this, I'm all sure that everyone will support what and where you come from.

I like to think that everyone here at the forum is a big LOVING family/friends.

With that said, begin the sharing circle!

Alright then. Well, uh, Born on August 29th 1996, been playing videogames since I was 4. My favourite video game is Resident Evil 2. I've had 3 step dads, I look after my mother who is physically disabled and my younger brother who probably has a few mental disabilites. Had looooooaaaaads of pets, used to be part of a charity that re-homed Ex-Racing Greyhounds who had essentially been abandoned after a few lost races. I love Budgies and Basset Hounds, My favorite song is High Pressure Dave by HEALTH and my favorite movie is "The Hangover".

I am currently a Volunteer at a Golf Course, keeping the place neat and tidy for the c***bag Golfers :p, I also volunteer as a Ranger, maintinencing a "Wildlife preservation reserve" that is quite literally on the doorstep of the Queen's Holiday home. Not sure what I want to do. Main goal in life at the moment is to get my own place.

I became a furry thanks to a furry smut artist by the name of "Jijix". I was just browsing the internet when I came across this drawn image of an anthromorphic, purple husky that was in an extremely suggestive pose. It was one of those "boner, why?" moments x'd. I then discovered the whole "Furry Community" and thought I could tottally get into this.

Did I go overboard? Just giving out random facts. :p

I, myself, was born August 18th, 1995. Like Flibble, I was an avid video game player since as long as I can remember, and I got my first console, a PlayStation 2, when I was six years old for my birthday. My favorite video game of all time is Final Fantasy IX, and my favorite series is Kingdom Hearts. My family, as of right now, is basically my mother, sister, and grandparents, since I live with the latter while I'm going to college, though I plan on moving out once I get a job and enough money. I haven't spoken to my dad or step-mom in years. I've had many dogs over the years, mostly because my family had a knack of taking in strays that we found about our neighborhood and giving them a home until either their owners came about or we could give them to a shelter. Labradors and Corgis are my favorite dogs, by far. My favorite song is 'I Appear Missing' by Queens of the Stone Age and my favorite movie is 'Children of Men'. I am unemployed as of right now.

The way I got into furries, as well as the furry fandom was, from what I can remember, stumbling onto furaffinity through a few web searches and finding the art of an artist who went by 'mnxenx001', who draws general smut art, usually of pokemon or his own creations. That, for me, was a moment where I wasn't sure why I was so into that art, but something about it appealed to me, aside from the obvious. From there, I pretty much came back every so often to search through his art, and I ended up finding more and more artists from there, all of them with their own unique styles and unique characters. Of course, I, as a person, always was imaginative, and even back in my days as a pre-teen was making RP characters based off of characters I really liked (my first characters were based off of Yoshis), and I even created some anthro characters as a kid, too, so really I was a furry without even really realizing that I was a furry, at least until I ran into furaffinity. From there, it just kind of built and built, and now I'm here.

Born in September 1994 In Minnesota I don't really remember much of what went on up there other than playing Dreamcast and school. Moved to Virginia in 2001 after my parents split. Roughly 2006 I was visiting family in Minnesota and we were playing StarFox when this vixen shows up with her obnoxious body proportions and I thought "hey, she's pretty fine". I had to see more and after discovering Fchan and other people at my school who were into that whole dirty furry mess I was well on my way to total corruption (Emperor protect me). The artist Fossil got me into the scaly side of things and Narse sealed the deal with it being dragons uberalles.

Since then Ive gotten decent at drawing, good at some terrible game called League of Legends (top 5% baby) and disappointing looks from my family at almost everything I do. The amount of socializing that I've done on this site is the most I've ever exposed myself too in the furrydom and Im having a blast so far, you guys rock, Kabier and Jasonafex rock and dirty furries rock.

I don't like giving out personal (read: traceable) details over the internet, so I'll keep things either online or vague.

I was a little shithead as a kid - not the aggressive kind, just annoying to a degree you've never experienced unless you've grown up with an asperger's child. I could count the number of friends I had as a fraction of the beatings I got from other kids (it was roughly 1/6 in any given year) - but by the time I'd gotten big enough to defend myself, I'd already grown a silver tongue that's been able to talk my way out of all my 'fights' ever since. Thankfully, being kept in public school with the rest of the shitstai- er, children, forced my hand at maturation; now that I'm in my mid-20's, I simply seem eccentric rather than totally batshit. It's even to the point where I can pass off as a slightly quirky 'normal' person. A good deal of it is self-confidence, I think... back in High School, we had to read Ayn Rand's Anthem, and my young mind ate that shit up like an ethiopean at McDonald's. Basically I tried to be both an objectivist and a not-terrible person at the same time - it was a tough pair of concepts to marry, but I think I handled it well - at the very least, it put me into the mind set of 'wait, I'm not just another shitty cog in an unfeeling machine... I'm a person! A person that can change stuff!'. That concept was enough to keep my head above the waters of depression long enough for me to get into gaming and anime, and when THAT happened, I saw Gurren Lagann for the first time, and I was blasted above those waters of depression on a flaming rocket pack that shot exploding missiles at anything that so much as looked at me funny while it fed me truffles and complimented my striking good looks. Seriously, watch it if you're ever down in the dumps, and are entertained by giant robots. Nowadays all I have to do is hum a few bars of the theme song to switch into 'Get the fuck out of my way, I've got shit to do!' mode from even the deepest of funks - it's great.

'Far as furry goes, I've been obsessed with dragons my whole life - made my mom rent Flight of Dragons from Blockbuster on VHS almost every week (I know I'm old shut up). Then puberty smacked me in the taint, and I started looking up dragon sex on that newfangled internet thing they were teaching in the schools, when I wasn't busy listening to my walkman or listening to people talk about the latest episode of fucking digimon. As it happened, I stumbled across some of Necrodrone13's early (read: current at time of viewing) works, and sighed right up on the website I found them - that is to say, Furaffinity. Been there ever since... and funnily enough, I'm actually a friend of Neccy's nowadays, because reality has a sense of humor. A few years after I signed up on FA, I was wandering through a Borders and I noticed A Practical Guide to Dragons, by Sindri Suncatcher - 'Ooh, a book about dragons! GIMME!' thought I, and I snatched it up. Little did I know, that it was actually a lore book for the Dragonlance setting - a fictional world based on D&D, for people who want the all story with none of the dice. This was back when I thought D&D was for nerds and losers (which I was totally right about), and that I was neither of those things (which I was totally wrong about), so I kept it as a novelty, but never went deeper - one thing did strike me about it though... It seemed that whoever had written that book was kind enough to base an entire type of dragon off of my personality. Henceforth, my generic red anthro 'sona was replaced with a resplendent silver dragon, so as to be more fitting with my... well, me.
And the final straw... one day as I played Magic: The Gathering (shut up), my friend offered me this: If I played in his up and coming epic-level D&D campaign (a game, mind you, I had staunchly avoided out of fear of 'becoming a nerd', because apparently trading card games cause you to lose your understanding of irony) then he would let me do the unthinkable... He would allow me to make a giant overpowered-as-fuck silver dragon to play as. Well fuck, why don't you just offer to blow me while you're at it - SOLD. It was then that I learned the most complicated game in the world... by making a character that was never intended to be played AS a character, and for which the rules were scattered and incomplete. This was the tabletop equivalent of a trial by fire, and damned if I didn't actually get it on my first go...

...So yeah. I now know more about Dungeons and Dragons v3.5 than most people know about their own goddamned kids.
And I wouldn't have it any other way~
