Game Project: Immortality

    So this is a project I've been working on for quite some time called the Immortality.

    Immortality is a fantasy RPG that will be set in a procedurally generated world inspired by Skyrim, Dark Souls, Mount and Blade: Warband, and Witcher.
    It will have character customization, character skills, and eventually non-human (furry) playable races like dragons, wolves, etc.

    The latest version of the game itself is on itch.io but you need to get a link from me to get to the page. It is Free but you can pay whatever you want using itch.io's system.

    Cuz this is a furry game,will there be porn elements like sex and rape and nudity CUZ normally furry games have that

    It is not a furry game. Sex may be possible but no rape

    I find this a highly uninformed statement. Just because something is furry doesn't mean there has to be porn in it. This game is about as furry as Skyrim in the sense it just has anthropomorphic races.

    Second, I removed yourpost about the framerate, as it contained language that is not acceptable. Please stay civil.

    Here comes the second update. Check below for link to builds and change log.

    Changes:

    -Massive Revamp of the User Interface

    -Shrine of the Order, starting location

    -A bit of dialogue with Artorius, and a guard

    -The start of the Fortress environment

    -New clothing pieces: boots, pants, a helmet

    -Parts of the body will be hidden if covered by armor (this has caused the customization sliders to be temporarily disabled)

    -A brightness slider to control how intense dark areas can be

    -Press 0 (zero) to toggle a fps counter

    My Experience: 0.2.2

    tabSo, um... I talk to the guy at the end of the hall, Jake, and the game gives me no options for lines. Then, I discover I can't exit the dialogue menu, so I have to quit the game.

    tabBow and arrow breaks game; upon equipping, it removes the player's ability to move at all. After drawing the bow, all I could do was hopelessly reshuffle my inventory in vain, hoping that I could actually fight or shoot NPCs with a bow. However, there are a few funny things you can do with this...

    tabAlso, the game starts at the lowest brightness setting for me, so things go from 'oh, there's some light out' to 'oh god I'm trapped in a horror movie and everything is black please help' levels of brightness.

    tabThe claymore and bow were the two weapons I tested, and the walk cycle with drawn weapons is weird, but that's alright for now. One simple thing that I noticed was the claymore's weight in the inventory was one digit too many for the display...

    tabAnother thing I'd like as a feature would be a way to see the performance of the game, such as FPS or some debug tools. Also nice would be the option to adjust mouse sensitivity. Of course, I have no idea how hard these would be to implement, but still.

    tabThen I tried the worldmap. What is the 'Prime' location? What does it mean? and why is there just a bed clipping through this house?

    tabSuddenly, my little knight and I found ourselves in a world of trouble, or, should I say out of the world? Either way, it didn't matter. Falling, falling, falling, forever... It kept going, no matter how far we fell, no matter how small my brave little knight got, no matter how many times he tried to jump or tried to walk or swung his sword, he couldn't move. We were falling and we had no way to stop, no ending point, no end. Watching as where we came from was blue but what seemed like where we were headed was brown, down, down, down.

    tabThen, suddenly, the sky started to shift. The ground grew red, turning a shade of crimson, like blood, sickening, almost. The sky was getting darker, no longer blue, but going black. And then, we were in darkness. Total blackness. Keep swinging, maybe there's hope! But there is only dark. Smaller and smaller my knight got. Soon his arms were indistinguishable from his legs, the only thing I could see was his sword swinging...

    tabAnyways, that's a summary of my experience with 0.2.2. I hope this was helpful and not actually full of things that you already knew were broken...

    Thank you for the feedback :) I appreciate that you even took the time to write up your post.

    Jake's dialogue was breaking due to a weird bug where he would lose his place in the game's registry everytime the Unity editor was closed, which was weird because it only just started happening after adding other characters to the registry. Of course the dialogue menu relied on Jake having his registry id so it broke with him :p

    I don't actually remember what was wrong with the bow breaking things. It was fixed but I'm not sure what was changed. As for the weird walking animations while holding weapons, I just lack animations for moving in all directions.

    I actually recently discovered a text format that cuts off decimals so they don't go so far, in that case it was 2/3 (value over weight) which leads to .6666 infinitely repeating.

    I've actually neglected to mention there is a FPS debug tool in the game from the very beginning. Pressing 0 (zero) will toggle, sorry about that ^-^' Also, I'll have a mouse sensitivity slider in the next update.

    Prime is a city and has been left in that state while I worked elsewhere, specifically the Fortress. It's mostly just there for now.

    I do need to add a catcher in case you fall through the floor that sends you back. Though this is a first Ive heard of suddenly falling through the ground on the World Map.

    Thanks again for trying the game and giving feedback. Don't be afraid to post more feedback later if you want to. It's useful to hear what kinds of things are being noticed ^_^

    Oh, and a few other things that I forgot to ask: do the facial sliders actually do things, or are they just there? And, is there a female model in place or is it possibly just me not being able to figure out a UI? Thanks!

    The sliders did work, but were broken due to the character's model being divided up and the customization system I was using was tied to the character model. I have to re make the customizations which wouldn't be too much work.

    And there's not a female model in yet :) I could go ahead and add one, but I don't believe I can afford a good female model yet or make a good one myself :(

    1. I love the first person mode!
    2. my mouse sometimes went out of the game window
    3. i like the arrows showing the direction of the attack , but the arrows could be smaller/adjustable in options , or even a different arrow style!
    Im enjoying the game , keep it up! ;)
