Finally... a NSFW game without a mental safety textbook!

Okay... so first of all: I'm not looking to trigger any legal nor moral debates with this post. I'm aware that some countries still have rather unfortunate and outdated laws here, while other people may have opposite opinions on the matter. Whatever the case, given I have a strong opinion about this, I did want to express my point:

Thank you, Amorous team, for being able to create a NSFW game with actual porn in it, without having to ruin it with moral disclaimers and messages about what people should be doing with their lives! By this I'm obviously referring to those pesky "if you're not 18 years or older, immediately close this cuz you're committing a crime and OMG you will be mentally damaged by a drawing" messages. Finally a game worthy of the year 2017 :)

Now just to be clear: I am well over 18 myself... pretty much nearing my 30's at this point. The reason I hate that is because I'm against the things it implies: Pointless discrimination and petty censorship. I'm strongly against the idea that artists on the internet are supposed to bow down to a thought police, telling them how they should mark a drawing and when they should ban people, demanding they parent complete strangers whom they know nothing about... censorship of porn is a family issue that needs to be settled at home, not by people on the internet intruding into users lives. That said, the idea that a living breathing person will be scarred for life by some pixels on a screen is itself astonishing, and in all honesty plain offensive to push even onto a 14 year old... like seriously, slap yourselves and snap out of it people, it's the 21th century out there.

I honestly wish I didn't have to make a post saluting something so obvious, which normally we shouldn't even need to think about. Sadly the stupidity of the world does that; Something that should be normal becomes something you need to stand up and clap for when it happens. There are few NSFW games that abstain themselves from judging people in any way based on their real identities... often for legal fears, which is why I can understand it to some extent, though it doesn't make it any less annoying and offensive to everyone.

But yeah... that's my point on that. I really hope the game can stay this way, and we'll never see any update introducing brain safety guidelines for "mentally apartheid" people in the loading screen. Cheers!

Thank you :) The reason why we do not have such disclaimers is simply because I believe that a bit of nude here and there doesn't make a game porn. And since you have to work pretty hard to get a date laid it's not like it's in-your-face porn either.

I think what distinguishes us most is the fact we do run a (semi) SFW forum even though our games clearly aren't. These rules prevent the community from becoming a yiff-fest while at the same time bringing out the best in us :)

Besides that, we know damn well a large portion of our player-base is below 18 - we cannot prevent that, nor do I personally want to. I'm not going to be the porn police telling you can't register an account on this site to participate in the community or play our games out of moral justice. Everyone who says they haven't played a game like SimGirl (in recent generations of internet) or whatever at age 12 are simply lying.

I must say: It sure feels good to find a group of rational people on this matter for once. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks generalized age censorship is flawed, while everyone screams at me about 3D genitals ruining lives and how I'm a monster for approving of unrestricted access to such.

That is pretty much what happened when I started a similar discussion on the Second Life forums a decade back, and remember being met with torches and pitchforks by virtually everyone. I had harsh criticism toward the administration of the day... who went as far as demanding that people sent them their identity cards, even pressuring users into ratting out anyone suspected of being under 18. It was ultimately like an online communism simulator, though it got better today.

Myself, I've been with the furry fandom since I was 16. I was definitely watching my fair share of anthro porn at the time, and it didn't even cross my mind it struck such a nerve with some people. When I came across the whole "how dare you watch porn while being under 18" attitude, I remember I started watching even more just to see what would happen, since at some point I legitimately expected it would have some magical effect on me due to all the inexplicable fuss about it... definitely weird but somewhat fun times :D
